Deep Etch We strive  for the best in quality, which is why each crystal award is deep etched by hand using a sandblasting process. Sandblasting provides a consistent imprint that other etching processes cannot.	3D Imaging 3D Subsurface Imaging creates a subsurface imprint inside a crystal award. A high-tech laser fractures the body of the award, producing a clear 3D image. No image is too big, too small or too intricate for this subsurface technology .
Laser Engraving   Crystal D has versatile laser capabilities that are used to engrave, etch or imprint an award. This technique is very complex and requires the use of a computer. Because this process is so precise and creates a high quality imprint, we use this process on our wood wall plaques	lumachrome Plus™ Our unique Illumachrome Plus™ process allows you to embellish both the front and back of an award using our standard Illumachrome™ imprint process.
Sublimation The sublimation process allows us to transfer color images to plates used on our wall plaques. Full-color art is transferred onto silver, white or gold colored plates using the sublimation process. Sublimated plates are available on a variety of  plaques.	Illumachrome™ Any image may be transferred to a crystal award using the Illumachrome™ process. This unique process is designed to flood a crystal award
Colorfill (Opaque) Opaque colorfill is most versatile and can be applied to the highest selection of awards. Available colors shown on color palette. Recommended On: Crystal, colored crystal, marble, black glass and plaques.	colorfill (Translucent) Our experienced Colorfill Specialist applies translucent Colorfill by hand and to designated areas of an award. Recommended On: Optical Crystal awards - Translucent shades do not appear on marble, wood, colored crystal, or black base

How a 3D laser Crystal image is Created: Thank you for your interest in the Laser Crystals. A scientific class laser driven by a very sophisticated computer software program creates an actual 3-dimensional image within a flawless piece of optically clear solid crystal. A concentrated laser beam is programmed to penetrate the crystal and create a miniature dot within. Following a precise sequence, tens of thousands of these imploded dots form an exquisite design. Since the laser is non-invasive, it leaves no marks or blemishes to mar the surface of the crystal. Unlike Lucite, surface etch, or embedment products, when viewed from any angle the intricate design is viewed much like a 3-dimensional sculpture. Beams of light are refracted in thousands of directions creating a dramatic presentation. This collectable piece of art, of such timeless beauty, will be valued and appreciated by even the most discerning individuals. The design process for a laser crystal piece can take up to several weeks. First, design ideas are researched by the artist, who gathers source photos and models.
