The "Toh" Vase" - the Five Steps to Heaven - was issued in 1999 in the
Swarovski Selection range of crystal. It is designed by Japan's acclaimed
graphic artist, Kazumasa Nagai, and is inspired by ikebana, the ancient Japanese art of flower arranging. The word "toh" means to rise, or climb in Japanese, hence the crystal steps. This is Kazumasa Nagai's third design for the Selection line, his other designs being the "Wa" Bowl and the "Ren" candleholder.
