Swarovski 2005 Disney Classics Collection first introductions included whimsical Mickey, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto, as well as jewelry inspired by Disney. In October 2007 Swarovski introduced the Disney Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet. Winnie the Pooh bear, so adorable, Tigger the bouncing Tiger, Little Piglet and one of my very favorites, the sweet little donkey, Eeyore.In addition to these beautifully designed crystal figurines, Swarovski has designed a special Winnie the Pooh plaque that looks like a little honey pot and a four piece display. Tinkerbell jewelry items will also be introduced at this time. Winnie the Pooh was brought to life by Alan Alexander Milne in 1926. The book was originally written for his son, Christopher, which is how the main human character got his name. The inspiration for the character was a female black bear that was brought to the London Zoo at the begiing of the 1st World War. The previous bear owner was a Canadian soldier who had purchased her from a trapper. Arriving at the zoo without a name, the zoo keepers, knowing she had come from Winnepeg, referred to her as WINNIE. In 1924, Alan Milne took his son to visit the London Zoo. The little 4 year old son, who had a favorite stuffed bear was fascinated by WINNIE and found it hard to leave her enclosure. For those who have followed the literary writings of Mr. Milne, will recall a previous book who had a character named Christopher Robin and a swan named POOH. Thus the name was borrowed from the swan and the name WINNIE the POOH came about. 2007 October Swarovski Disney Crystal Introductions: Winnie the Pooh Eeyore Tigger Piglet Honey Pot Title Plaque Special display stand set 2008 Tinker Bell Limited to the year 2008. Tinker Bell is the jealous pixie fairy who glows brightest for Peter Pan. Her voice sings like a tinkling bell and a sprinkle of her pixie dust can make you fly.

In 2008, Bambi and Friends, joined the Swarovski Disney Collection. Walt Disney Swarovski Crystal Bambi and Friends Collection pays tribute to the Disney animated movie story, BAMBI, released August 13, 1942. Bambi is a little fawn, who grows up, with friends Thumper, a rabbit, Owl and Flower, a skunk, to become the Great Prince of the Forest. Traumatized and saddened by the loss of his mother at the hands of hunters, Bambi, with the help of his friends, learns to cope with his new life without her, falls in love with Faline, and barely escapes a catastrophic forest fire. The preceding is a brief recap of this story but for those who have noyet to see this movie or it has been a while, you may just want to watch it again as it is truly a classic which brings tears, as well as smiles, as you share in Bambi's life experiences.
