"The Revealing" Redwood Abstract Sculpture by Daryl Stokes-SOLD Spectacular contemporary redwood sculpture with a series of wildly angled redwood burl planes unfolding above a massive, rugged driftwood and burl configuration. The bold geometric designs open dramatically at the base of the sculpture and gradually diminish as the composition sways up and back. As the striking angular forms unfold, they reveal more of the fluid yet rugged character of the central driftwood body of the sculpture. The personality of this sculpture is strongly exalting yet the viewer may be compelled to wonder what lies further beneath its demeanor. A powerful composition which is visually stunning! This abstract sculpture has been composed with individual redwood burls which have been carved with chain saws, shaped with grinders and hand crafted to further enhance the forms. Each sculpture is totally unique and cannot be duplicated. All of the natural redwood used to create these sculptures has been salvaged from fallen trees which have been victimized from winter storms, landslides or forest fires, therefor no living trees have been utilized.
