Growing up near the California coastline, I have been influenced by the beauty of the coastal landscapes. As my skills as a glass artist have developed and my artwork has progressed, I began to create pieces that are more specific to my vision as an artist.
Through layers and bands of molten colored glass I recreate the various flowing lines and color patterns of nature. I make this series in a variety of functional and sculptural vessel forms that act as a canvas for the wildflower meadow with Poppies and Lupines.
