Moebius Loop Glass Sculpture
A Möbius (or Moebius) loop is similar to a circle in that both have diameters which split each into two equal parts, but differ in that while all the diameters of the circle share one point in common, no two diameters of the Möbius loop have any point in common. The Fräbel rendering of this rather famous loop differs from the mathematically proper loop by permitting the length of the diameters to vary, and in this way achieves to a more beautiful and interesting work. This sculptural rendering of the Möbius Loop was handcrafted in hot boron crystal glass by Tung Bui Associate of Atlanta’s Fräbel Studio to suggest a complex path but one which also possesses grace and elegance.
