"Matrimony" Redwood Abstract Sculpture by Daryl Stokes-SOLD Abstract wood sculpture depicting a male and female figure facing each other. Vertical composition with two massive redwood burl sculptured figures separately rising dramatically from a richly organic nebulus of contorted burl formations. The vertical redwood components have been sculptured with chain saws and carefully sanded to reveal the vivid wood grain patterns and irredecence. The sculpture is finally treated with a durable clear oil finish to bring out all the rich natural wood colors. Each sculpture is a totally unique, one of a kind creation and cannot be duplicated. All of the natural redwood used to create these sculptures has been salvaged from fallen trees which have been victimized from winter storms, landslides or forest fires, therefor no living Redwood trees have been utilized.
