The sculpture is finished with a colorful hot patina technique which makes the dolphins appear life-like. The patina is carefully applied by hand layer by layer and thoroughly hand polished with a special wax. The result is a vibrant, deep layered finish with complex subtleties that no other bronze finishing method can achieve. Mounted on a rectangular black marble base.
