2006 SCS Annual Edition Turtle- A symbol of Eternity.
The turtle is one of the oldest creatures in existence, dating back more than 150 million years. Since time immemorial, in all cultures and countries of the world, it has been surrounded by a multitude of myths and legends. To this day, the turtle symbolizes continuity and endurance, patience and wisdon, fertility and spirituality.
Eternity was designed exclusively for SCS members. As with the SCS member pieces, the order must be submitted to Swarovski so we ask that you allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. It is the SCS 2006 Annual edition. Gracefully and effortlessly, the turtle glides through the endless depths of the ocean. Corals and shoals of fish set the scene for the sea turtle's graceful glide through the clear water.
Every annual edition comes with a matching stand, a background picture and a mirror, offering you different display options. The "Wonders of the Sea Trilogy" pays homage to the diversity of ocean life and represents an exciting new design concept for Swarovski. Each Annual Edition this year be available in both clear or radiantly full-colored crystal. Each United States SCS member will be eligible to purchase, from us, 1 each of the color version Eternity turtles annual edition and 1 each of the clear version Eternity turtles annual edition.
Each of the three pieces in the trilogy stands beautifully alone, but when grouped together, they will form a truly stunning design object for the home - showcasing a fascinating underwater world.
As of 2005, SCS will had a new name: the Swarovski Crystal
Society. We all have one thing in common: a fascination for
Swarovski Crystal! We would like to reflect this fact through our
name. SCS is and always will be a community of crystal enthusiasts
from all over the world.But that is not all. SCS has other improvements in store for starting in 2005,which we will tell you about right here. These changes are a result of your numerous ideas; we take our member's needs very seriously and respond to them whenever possible.
As from 2005, there will be a membership gift that changes each
year. About the artist: Michael Stamey. Michael Stamey's name is inextricably linked with Swarovski Crystal Society. Not only is nature at the center of his artistic works - but his whole life revolves around it: "If you observe an object of great beauty and complexity long enough, sooner or later you are bound to find parallels in nature."
