Artistica Blue Hawaii Jewelry Collection information:
This unique collection is called Blue Hawaii - the largest collection of sea life theme jewelry in the world handcrafted with genuine diamonds and Pacific Blue Topaz which is used to represent our beautiful Pacific ocean. The precious metal is sterling silver with a protective platinum-glaze overcoat that prevents tarnishing. Many styles offer cultured pearls and or intricate mother of pearl inlay. All pendants or necklaces include a chain that is uniquely adjustable from 16" to 18" in length, and each creation has a design title to reflect its own dynamic image. Blue Hawaii also comes with a lifetime warranty.
What does Platinum glazed mean, and why is it better than normal Sterling Silver?
Platinum glazed is a term used by the artisans to describe an electroplated process where each design is submerged in a platinum bath thereby coating the sterling silver with the precious platinum metal. This means there is actually a layer of precious platinum which covers and protects each design. This unique finish allows the sterling silver to be more bright and shiny for the life of the product.
Will it tarnish?
Normally, sterling silver does tarnish. However, because Blue Hawaii has this protective platinum layer overcoat, this jewelry will have a tarnish free look for the life of the product, maintaining its shiny luster.
About the designer - Artistica
Artistica is a Hawaii based jewelry designer that's been making fine jewelry for three generations. They are well recognized for their innovative styling and high standards in quality. One of Artistica's trademarks is their intricate detail. The designs in the Blue Hawaii collection are actually "miniature sculptures" which takes considerably more
time to manufacture the fine detail. Most of their styles also integrate a satin texture which allows for a nice contrasted look against the shiny high polish areas of the product separating the elements of design within.
